Every experience leads to greater wisdom and if you’re having it, you need the lesson. If we take the judgment off experience we can see that the drug addict, if he is able to recover, has the opportunity to feel his self-worth. If he dies an addict, then he is offered another life and another chance to get the lesson. The person who is ill has an opportunity to prove his essential wholeness. How many times have we heard of people who were doomed to die yet fought their way back to health? Poverty is the direct road to wealth. Have you ever noticed that in so many cases, it is the person at the so called bottom of the financial pack, who worked the smartest and achieved the most? Poverty acted as the catalyst or stimulant that sparked that extra passion. The lonely soul has a golden opportunity to see his oneness in the whole and in so doing he becomes the magnet for attracting beautiful friendships. Persons who feel insecure have only to see how supported they have been from birth to present date and begin to exercise more trust in the universe.
Each of us is doing the best that we can, based on the information that we have accepted as truth about ourselves and about the world around us. Have you ever wondered why we are here? I believe that we are here to feel our way back to Spirit; note I said FEEL not FIND because there is nothing to find; nothing was lost. But unless and until we can each of us feel the greatness, the wisdom and the infinite support that is within us, we will continue to experience the illusions of opposites. This is a tall order and requires practice; but who is setting the papers and who gives the final marks?
The physical world, with all its magnificence is still only a shadowy projection of the inner world. No shadow ever reflected its own image. It is however, the shadow that confirms the existence of its creator. In this world we create shadows based on who we think we are. As our understanding of ourselves become closer to the truth, so do our shadows. The other interesting thing is that no shadow has ever been able to change its form so it’s useless to fight with it. The work must always be done from the creator perspective, in this case the person casting the shadow of experience.
Some experiences are painful and it certainly is difficult to see your way through when you are in physical, mental, or emotional pain. But to resist it, deny it, hide it or fear it only serves to prolong the experience. I am working with the idea of accepting my experiences as a reflection that I cast and walking my way through them to the wisdom of the lesson. I have found that in every single case the lesson is simply to bring me back on track; to impress upon me at the deepest level that I am Spirit, I am one with the energy I call God; I am a living eternal soul and that this particular lifetime is but one flicker against my canvas. If YOU KNEW that you were GOD also what would your worries be? Would you be lonely or in pain or lacking the finances you need to realize your grandest dreams? I think not! You would express all the magnificence that you are. Passionately paint your life in sunny colors and live from a point of security and abundance.
Well what is to stop us now? Now that the truth of our divinity leaked through why should we hold back? I’ll tell you why…. We still have the fear – what if this is not true? Well what if it isn’t? You would have lived your life bravely, passionately, enjoyed every last sip of it and died with a smile on your face; only to find on the other side camp that you didn’t die at all and had done a damn good job.
